Ed Milliband attends launch of Introductions to Codes of Practice for Artificial Intelligence

Yesterday, Ed Milliband Secretary of State for Energy and Climate Change attended the launch of our Introduction to Codes of Practice for Artificial Intelligence at the Houses of Parliament.

Joining Sally Jameson, MP for Doncaster Central and Lee Pitcher MP for Doncaster East and the Isle of Axholme, it was a strong demonstration of support for Doncaster’s vision to become a Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence and the location of choice for the world’s first cloud AI Data Centre.

The event also featured Peter Danenberg, Google DeepMind who shared perspectives on how the US is approaching regulating Artificial Intelligence, with our CEO Mark Taylor using the event to urge Government to ensure the UK’s policy makers ensure innovation can thrive.
