Our CEO reflects on a week in Washington

Last week a delegation from the UK and US travelled to Washington to attend the inauguration of the 47th President and Vice President of the United States of America, and champion the UK’s AI sector and Doncaster as a Centre of Excellence for Artificial Intelligence.

Mark Taylor, Founder and CEO reflects on the trip:

“As I land back in the UK from my trip to Washington DC for the inauguration, I’m reflecting on what has been a great few days out there.

Corporate America went to Washington DC and was open for business!

The networking opportunities throughout the many parties, events and balls was priceless. I had the chance of meeting senators, governors, billionaire tech giants and business leaders that I would not have had the chance to any other way – not a single person I met didn’t want to do business and were impressed with the results our AI platform has generated both in the USA and UK.

Meeting Donald Trump Jr and being gifted some very nice cufflinks was a nice touch.

It also confirmed my belief that you’ve got to go out there and get business by attending such events. I’m surprised not more UK businesses made the trip, but then seeing Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, Elon Musk and Tim Cook at the inauguration was great.

As an AI business with over 3,500 clients in the USA and over 2,000 clients in the UK, opportunities like this don’t come along  every year and I was delighted to fly the Doncaster flag and put Doncaster as a centre of excellence for AI on the world-stage at this historic event.”
